The Start Of It All

The Magic Kingdom is the first theme park of Walt Disney World Resort, and situated at the center is Cinderella’s Castle, the icon by which most people identify WDW. Radiating from this center are the magical realms of Adventureland (my home while I worked at Pirates), Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Mickey’s Toontown, Tomorrowland, and Main Street. Whimsical details create the atmosphere of each theme, and light-hearted nostalgia brings back thousands of guests each day. Magic Kingdom is a favorite of many…

…but I love EPCOT (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow – fun trivia). The front area is Future World, with cool stuff like an underwater ride thru an aquarium, the giant golf ball that is actually an awesome tour thru the development of communication, and a fountain dispenser that serves Coca Cola products from around the world! The rear area is World Showcase, with countries sharing their food, attire, traditions, and authentic overpriced merchandise. Norway has an amaaazing buffet. The moving statue in France is hilarious, and the bands in the UK are good for an afternoon break.

The Disney-MGM Studios has a special place in my heart, too, because that’s where I worked the most (because Jessie lives mainly in this park). Its attractions celebrate the cinematic craft: you can see an animatronic revue of landmark films, experience a chaotic moment in a Muppets studio, watch animators at work, or tour a filmset. Celebrities often open the daily parade. Here, the grand marshals are few guys of N*Sync fame.

This is my brother and me on Buzz Lightyear’s, hunting for the evil emperor Zorg.

Holly and I worked together at Pirates of the Caribbean. Holly knew what to do, I spazzed.

Jill and I both passed auditions to work in Disney Entertainment! Here we are at the banquet.

Apt #204 girls: me, Sarah, Kara, Brea, Emily, Blair. Sarah and I share the same birthday, so we had a family dinner at the Polynesian Luau. In the background is the Contemporary Resort.

Tate, Heather, Marta, and I had dinner at the Garden Grille before Marta went home. The restaurant hosts character dining, where characters come to visit during the meal.
